The Heritage Fine Food company joins forces with Arkell’s Strawberry Thief to bring you a huge Halloween competition you don’t want to miss

With Halloween just around the corner Heritage Fine Foods has joined forces with Arkell’s to offer customers a chance to win a Sunday lunch for 2 and a bottle of house wine at the Strawberry Thief and a medium seasonal fruit and veg box from Heritage. One runner up will also win a pack of Arkell’s ale.
Heritage, a wholesaler based in Coate, Devizes recently acquired a huge pumpkin and after running its own very successful competition on social media decided to donate the pumpkin to Arkell’s newest pub The Strawberry Thief in Swindon for its customers to enjoy.
Emma Charlton, Heritage’s Marketing Manager (pictured above left) commented “When the opportunity arose to obtain this pumpkin our Sales Director jumped at the chance. Our customers have really enjoyed guessing it’s girth size on social media so now it’s time for a whole new group of Arkell’s customers to see it in its glory and now try and guess its weight”
The huge pumpkin will be the star attraction at the Strawberry Thief throughout October so head over to guess it’s weight. Following that why not head in for something to eat or drink. The Strawberry Thief is Arkell’s biggest and newest pub project to date based in Tadpole Garden Village in Swindon. It boasts an amazing patio and terrace, homemade pizza, dining sheds, dog friendly areas and electric car charging points.
Julie Moss, Arkell’s Managed House Controller commented “We are really excited to welcome the mutant pumpkin and sure that our customers will have a lot of fun trying to guess its weight”.
The Strawberry Thief will also be hosting a pumpkin patch pick your own pumpkin on the 27th October between 10 am – 3.00 pm (£5.00 per child, booking not required). This event will include a carving station and candy apples too.
