August is one of the most rewarding months for British produce, with fields continuing to deliver exceptional quality across fruit, salads and late summer vegetables.

British tomatoes, sweetcorn and berries continue to shine, while peppers, courgettes, runner beans and leafy salads remain in excellent condition. Early English apples and blackberries will begin to make an appearance as the season starts its gentle transition towards autumn, offering chefs plenty of opportunities to refresh menus while still making the most of summer’s abundance.

Cauliflower and broccoli continue to experience pressure on both availability and pricing, With the August Bank Holiday and peak holiday season increasing demand, some seasonal lines may experience short-term fluctuations in supply and price.
