Please support Kerry in her 10k run for Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance
On 26th April, Kerry, one of our fantastic warehouse team, will be taking on the Corsham 10K – not just as a personal challenge, but to also raise vital funds for a charity that was there when her family needed it most.
She’s running in support of Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance.
In 2013, when her little boy was just 18 months old, a terrible accident happened. A hot cup of tea was accidentally spilled onto his stomach, causing severe burns. In an instant, a normal day turned into every parent’s worst fear.
The ambulance was called and he was taken to Trowbridge Hospital. On arrival the medical team determined he needed to be transferred to Bristol and for no time to be wasted.
Within minutes, the air ambulance helicopter crew arrived – calm, highly trained and completely focused. He was airlifted to Bristol hospital to receive urgent specialist treatment. In that critical moment, when time mattered more than anything, the Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance was there providing expert care and rapid transfer when it was vitally needed.
Today, her son is doing well, but Kerry has never forgotten the professionalism, speed and compassion shown that day.
The Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance receives no regular government funding. Every mission, every flight, every lifesaving intervention depends entirely on charitable donations.
So on 26th April, every mile Kerry runs will be driven by gratitude and determination to give something back.
We’re incredibly proud to be supporting Kerry in this challenge.
If you can, please consider donating. However small, your contribution helps keep this essential service flying – ready for the next family who might need it.
