November Lockdown Update
To all our valued customers
We know it’s a challenging time for everyone at the moment as the coronavirus pandemic unfolds further and with the second lockdown confirmed. We would like to reassure all our customers (wholesale and home delivery) that we will continue to be here for you, providing you with the exceptional customer service you are used to.
For our wholesale customers in the education, care and catering sectors (who are offering takeaway during this lockdown) it is still business as usual for us. The midnight cut off time for orders will remain in place for next day delivery, any changes to this will be communicated to you with plenty of advance notice. We will continue to be delivering Monday to Saturday for wholesale. Home deliveries will continue to be delivered from Tuesday to Saturday, we are also open for click and collect on Monday – Friday 8 am – 6 pm and Saturday 9 am – 12 pm.
As our delivery routes may change slightly during lockdown you may see a slight variance on your normal delivery times. Please do get in touch if this causes any issues.
Although we estimate that our turnover will reduce during November we are hopeful if our retail trade picks up again as it did in the first lockdown that we can avoid furloughing many of our staff.
We are not certain on the impact to the supply chain currently and are hopeful that there will be limited issues with obtaining stock. We are already holding a large stock of ambient, household and other goods but we will ensure that we keep you fully informed.
If you know anyone who is struggling to get a food delivery slot from the supermarkets or is uncomfortable going into a supermarket/shielding/self-isolating please make them aware that we are here and have lots of stock and lots of delivery slots. They just need to choose their relevant service from the options on this page and shop (or call us if they need any assistance). Please note we are now taking bookings now for Christmas deliveries on our 5adaybox website.
We can be reached as follows:
Wholesale: firstname.lastname@example.org 01380 860968
Retail: email@example.com 01380 860968
On a personal note please look after yourself and your family during this time.
We would like to draw attention to the NHS Mental wellbeing while staying at home website page https://www.nhs.uk/oneyou/every-mind-matters/coronavirus-covid-19-staying-at-home-tips/
We would also like to draw attention to Food banks, these are grassroots, community organisations aimed at supporting people who cannot afford the essentials in life.
The Trussell Trust supports a nationwide network of food banks and together provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK. If you are in financial crisis and live in England or Wales, please call their confidential free helpline on 0808 208 2138 (open Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm). Or you can contact your local food bank which you can find via https://www.trusselltrust.org/
